Mary Ann Hynes
In 1979, Mary Ann Hynes became the first woman in American corporate history to become general counsel of a Fortune 500 company: CCH Inc. Years later, the Mary Ann Hynes Institute was established to create a model program for executive leadership development. Coming in 2018, the Hynes Institute Advisory Board — composed of executives from 10 leading legal recruiting firms — will select 24 women to participate as Hynes Institute Fellows in a yearlong program.

The Hynes Institute Advisory Board will select these 24 women with experience working in legal departments, across industries, to join the first group of Hynes Institute Fellows. After a kickoff meeting, the Fellows will meet remotely every six weeks for a year.
